Pottery and Paintings

PotterySUANNE MUEHLNER
Suanne Muehlner has worked in ceramics for more than 30 years and is an advisor at the Colby College pottery studio. Primarily a functional potter, she is constantly exploring new techniques and designs to create fresh and interesting work. Summer months are spent experimenting with raku, horse hair design, and other low fire techniques. Results are fascinating: they are immediate, unpredictable, random, endlessly variable and unique.

MEADER STONEWARE
Nancy Meader has been a professional potter for more than forty years. She teaches the pottery January course at Colby College and has been in numerous exhibitions including at Colby, the University of Maine, and Unity College. Her stoneware pottery is mainly functional and is glazed in earth tones and blues. She also makes raku pots. The functional ware is lead free, dishwasher-safe and can be put in the microwave.
